Wow! We all watched the Spurs game last night but The Fozzers are certainly rivalling them for sporting event of the week. A massive win for The Fozzers against a below par Deadly Sevens, has given a huge boost to Louis Scallon's lads title hopes. Debuting their new golden kit, the fozzers took no prisoners as they scored 3 quick fire goals in the first 5 minutes, with Gremayokos coming as a result of some appaling goalkeeping from Deadly's man between the sticks. More goals followed and a terrific team performance reminiscent of great teams of the past, think Cruyff era total football Ajax, Fergusons United and Cloughs Forest. Starting from the back, Holloway had a decent game, making a few key saves but was rarely troubled throughout the game. Two mistakes led to two goals, but overall the guy with the gloves should be happy. In defence, Kirby looked as solid as the great wall of China as always, making some big challenges and keeping the team in line with commands. Anoszczenko played a blinder, two mistakes were not enough to dampen his performance as he made several big tackles and had a great game moving the ball out from the back, reminiscent of the great John Stones. Hughes also had a solid game, tracking back well when needed and providing some great link up play with the always outstanding Suddick. Some bad touches for the ex spurs man was not enough to stop him scoring, with 2 goals coming his way after his move from the defence. Gremayoko, dropped in to the number 10 role was lucky to get his goal, but always looked threatening and his link up with emergency loan star Howe, may have proved the key ingredient which led to this win. Talking of Howe, the young loan star really took the bull by the horns, and his unorthodox playing style troubled the deadly sevens throughout. 2 goals surely must give player manager scallon reason to get this boy signed up asap. Scallon and Choudhury provided good cover from the bench, getting a goal a piece and really looking an improvement since previous performances. Scallons Injury may have had an impact though, as he almost looked frighten to make a challenge at some points. The Gask-Clarke brothers were both out this week again, with Jamal looking good for St Kitts and Nevis, and Reece doing some important humanitarian work out in Japan, where he is teaching the young Japanese boys how to cut hair. We look forward to nexts week fixture, which is still TBA.
