Utter Shite. The only way we can look at tonight's performance. From start to finish The Fozzers' performance was lethargic at best. CYS FC were definitely nothing special but they were made to look like Arsenal's Invincibles as they manouvured their way past the Fozzers. Starting from the back, Holloway had a poor start to the game where the first two goals should have been saved. He did improve as the game went on however, making some good saves but also making multiple distribution errors, which luckily did not lead to more goals. Kirby made the most of his performance at the back defending as best he could, although needless attacking runs from the centre half contributed to dangerous CYS counter attacks. Anoszczenko alongside Kirby defended well but did look sloppy in possession and was sometimes beaten for pace by the CYS players. Hughes scored the games only goal and generally played alright, although he was also beaten for pace on multiple occasions and almost got sin binned for aggression towards an opposition player. Suddick had a fairly poor game, he consistently missed the target and a weak touch, however his energy in winning the ball back and moving the ball forwards was admirable. Gremayoko rarely troubled the defence with any sort of attacking play, and looked lost throughout the whole game. Manager Louis Scallon may have to consider him outside of the 10 role as so far he has struggled. Choudhury started up top but did nothing of note, with a lack of attacking energy evident, his most notable moment came when he was spat on by an opposition player. Reece Gask Clarke made his long awaited return from a foot injury which needed major surgery in Japan. His rehabilitation is clearly not complete though, as he made little impact in the game, save for a couple of decent shots on goal, although foiled by CYS' keeper. This writer chooses not to mention player manager scallons performance at this time. Jamal Gask-Clarke has gone AWOL from the team, although he may have been a game changer in this match. Overall, a bad day at the office for the boys in gold, as only a silver was achieved today.
