The home side adopted a 4-1-4-1 formation, which allowed for a strong defensive base while providing ample support for their attacking players. Ayabonga Madonda took his place in goal, shielded by a back four consisting of Lethokuhle Mayeni on the right, Njabulo Radebe and Okuhle Chonco in central defence, and Isenathi Ndamase on the left. Yandisa Mdineka operated as the lone central midfielder, tasked with linking defence and attack. The attacking midfield quartet featured Oluhle Ntombela and Bandile Sokhela on the flanks, with Alwande Mkhize and Marcus Cooper occupying central roles behind striker Esihle Ndlela. The bench included Lwandle Myende, who would later make an impact in the match.

Esihle Ndlela then got in on the act in the 21st minute, finishing off a well-placed pass from Oluhle Ntombela, who was proving to be a constant threat down the right. Ndlela's goal further demoralised the Zulu Warriors, and it was Ntombela himself who scored in the 35th minute, assisted by Ndlela, to make it 4-0 before the half-time whistle blew.
As the second half commenced, the relentless Teenagers United continued their assault. Just five minutes in, Marcus Cooper scored, showcasing his individual skill as he assisted himself, further extending the lead to five goals.
In the 44th minute, a substitution was made as Lwandle Myende replaced Bandile Sokhela, adding fresh legs to the attack. Myende wasted no time in making his mark, scoring in the 54th minute with a well-timed finish from another assist by Oluhle Ntombela, who was having a standout game.
The Zulu Warriors' woes continued as an own goal from one of their defenders in the 76th minute added to the humiliation, bringing the score to 7-0. Teenagers United were not done yet, as Ayabonga Madonda converted a penalty in the 78th minute, sealing an emphatic 8-0 victory.
