Sleetmoor United FC Rangers

Before we even kicked off we knew this would be a difficult game against a well organised team who are very 'disciplined'. Although, we started very strongly and took an early lead thanks to some great play that led to a throwing in near the opposition goal. Charlie took the throw that fell nicely to Alfie after a little pressure on their defence, slotted home very nicely to the keepers left side. This game saw Finlay return to Tansley Juniors and what an effort he put in and he partnered well with Ben H during the first half. After a couple of late first half changes, the defence struggled early to get stuck in and conceded 2 late first half goals. Going in to half time 2-1 down. The second half was as difficult as the first half was brilliant. Conceding a handful of early goals without really getting any control of the ball. The opposition just kept coming at us with just a few chances in between (albeit very good chances). Keira making some excellent saves. The 3 subs started to make more of an impact after a while and we created a few late chances that unfortunately just didn't go in! The score ended a disappointing 13-1 although, we feel this didn't justify the performance. Especially that of the first half. Player of the match was Finlay who put in a super performance throughout on his first game back!
