Match Report - HARTLEPOOL TECH O.40S VETERANS FIRST - 18 Aug 2018

Doxy lad had first home game of the season against Hartlepool tech, for the first 20 mins tech looked the better team and were unlucky when they had a goal ruled out for offside, game was pretty even but in the last 15min of the first half the doxy started to play and were on the front foot when ref blew for halftime, no changes at half time and again the tech started off better but never really created any real chances, doxy defence was strong, in the 60 min a unlucky clearance from Dean in goal fell to one of the tech players and he dually finished with a fine shot, this was against the run of play, the doxy change things around with Andy Minto coming off and Chris Blakelock coming on, he went into centre mid and Cole pushed up front , within 10 mins the best bit of football played by the doxy resulted in a good team goal Cole passed to Steve Minnican who then knocked to Andy W who finished well, then on the doxy kept pushing for a winner, Ade Hall driving the team on winning every header in the game, the back four was strong and Chris steady the midfield, Serg came on for Steve Minnican and played everything nice and easy, in the last minute another chance was created but a fine save from the tech keeper from Andy W kept it 1 1, mom Ade Hall.
