The second half saw Great Western FC Mens come out with renewed vigour, and they quickly found the net, narrowing the deficit to 4-1, which was quickly followed by a second 4-2, was the comeback on?. Stroud United, however, responded swiftly, regaining their three-goal cushion with a fifth goal that showcased their attacking flair. Josh George assisting Greener for his second of the game.
Despite trailing, Great Western continued to fight back, scoring again to make it 5-3, setting up a tense finale. Stroud United, determined to secure their victory, firmly closed the front door bolted it shut, sealing the match at 5-3.
The match was a testament to the attacking capabilities of both sides, with Stroud United emerging victorious in a thrilling cup encounter. Nathan Green was particularly impressive, earning the accolade of Player of the Match for his outstanding performance throughout the game.
