Stradbroke Unlucky After Opponents Questionable Win!

Stradbroke were by far the better team for 55 mins of the game. Unfortunately the team were slow to switch up to speed and Honnington scored 2 goals in the first 15 mins. This didn't phase Stradbroke who found their full throttle and from there started to outplay Honnington in all parts of the field. Unfortunately against the run of play the opposition tried to go for a quick counter which was offside but despite protests from Stradbroke the goal was allowed by the Ref, Tom scored a fabulous goal thanks to a great assist from Will and then the chances just kept coming but not quite enough to get us a goal, Lewis then did score a goal for us that went over the line but yet again the ref did not rule in our favour and said it wasn't over the line. Stradbroke did not let this quash their desire to try and pull the game back in their favour. Honnington were starting to panic with balls being kicked out left, right and centre to try to delay the relentless attacks from Stradbroke, but despite the hard work and effort of the Stradbroke players, the ball just would not sit right for a good enough strike to earn the goals they deserved. There was one small slip up in midfield in the 67th min that let Honnington through on goal, so it ended 4-1 to to the home team. If the 2 ref decisions had gone in Stradbroke’s favour then we could have been looking at a completely different result. Stradbroke's team effort and desire shone through and through and I they continue playing the way they did today, results will come their way! Player of the Match was Ollie for some great runs, pairing up on the wing with Jimmy and in the centre with Tom and the midfield.
