After last weeks victory away to League Leaders Banchory, Stoneywood went with the same line-up as they now faced new League Leaders Longside who had so far won 7 of their 8 league games.
Stoneywood got off to quick start and were in the lead in less than 3 mins after Dylan won the ball at Right back and played the ball forward where Neale and Curtis combined brilliantly to allow Curtis to square the ball to Toshie for a tap in.
Longside did not let the early goal disrupt them as they showed why they had only lost one game so far this season when they struck the side netting soon after. Curtis also struck the post after good work in the box.
In the 36th min Longside equalized after good work from them on our touchline forced a good save from Daniel but the rebound fell to a Longside player about 18yds out who feinted to shoot with his right but turned to his left foot and curled it past Daniel.
Half Time 1-1 with chances for both sides.
After the break Longside started to dominate the ball but were well marshalled by Stoneywood who did not allow any chances but who could not get much chances themselves until the 64th Min when from a Free Kick in their own box from Daniel was flicked on by Andy Simond to Neale who directed his header to an on-rushing Curtis to allow a 1 on 1 with the keeper and who slotted it past the keeper to regain the lead.
The Points were wrapped up in the 85th Minute as a long throw by Dylan was flicked on by Neale to Curtis who managed to create space in the box and score past the keeper.
Bainer made an important last man tackle shortly after to ensure Stoneywood did not suffer a nervy last few minutes.
Full Time 3-1
We wish Longside all the best for the rest of the season.
For Stoneywood this was back to back victories against two tough opponents in this league with good performances going along with them, and a good performance without Ian or Darren on the touchline.
Next Up next week is Forres Thistle at Home
