The Scottish Cup first round saw us making the trip to Lanarkshire and CLYFA A League side - Royal Albert. Going into the game with 16 players was a big plus after our early season injuries and suspensions. First half we were very good on a windy day in Stonehouse - the front 4 of Shay, Adam, Eman and Dan all made chances in the first half when we really should've been entirely out of sight. As it was we had to settle for 2-0. An OG after a dangerous Eman cross then a terrific Shay free kick from 25 yrds. Outside that we hit the post and out 5 or 6 just passed the post or good saves by the keeper.

2nd half we again started on front foot passing up a couple of good chances before we caused ourselves some problems. A couple of poor goals given up - got Royal Albert back in to game. Credit to the lads who regrouped and continued on the attack. Headers just over bar, saves from the keeper or shots just wide.

Dan popped up with our 3rd in the 65th minute - a great header from a Kai cross. Then Tyler sealed the game with a great run and finish with around 12mins left. Could've been a lot more comfortable but again we're creating a lot and more goals will come.

MOTM - in the first half Eman, Shay and Adam were all very good. However into 2nd it was the introduction of Kai P in the second half that steadied us at the back with a forceful display and the continued perseverance of Dan up front who grabbed the crucial 3rd goal and was a general menace across the 80mins. So the joint award for Dan and Kai P.
