Our stuttering early start to the season continued with a disappointing result at home to a good Lenzie side. Despite being on top for the first 50/60mins we only had a solitary goal to show for our possession advantage. Dan finishing off after a great run from Max into the box. Some good build up play on the sticky pitch seemed to break down regularly around the box meaning we didn't carve out enough clear openings. Much like the weekend we were really disappointed with the 2 goals we lost - a free header from a deep central free kick, then a shocker from a corner a few minutes later when nobody wanted to clear the ball.
We pushed forward chasing the game hard in last 20mins and Tyler crashed one off the inside of the post. Eman had a couple of great burts as well but the shots went straight to keeper.
With two injured lads on the bench we again only had 12 players able to play due to injuries and suspensions - however our energy levels and commitment weren't up to Saturday's. Improvement needed but we'll get there.
MOTM - 2 main contenders. Emmanuel keeping up his great start to the season as he was our main attacking threat on the night but award goes to Max this week. Effervescent performance in midfield all night - particularly in the first half.
