The tough fixtures keep coming for us with a trip to Easterhouse in the league today. Unbeaten league champs in CLYFA last year and always a good challenge. Delighted with the showing from the lads as we ran out 4-0 winners, showing the strength of the squad with 6 players missing through holidays, injuries and suspension. With the wind at our backs in swirling conditions we went one up after a great run and flicked through the ball from Max found Dan to slot home. Dan then made it 2-0 with a great hit from 25yrds.
As the game opened up in second half we played some excellent stuff at times. Lennox making it 3-0 after a Max shot was spilled, before Dan grabbed a deserved hat-trick heading home after a fine team move and cross from Logan. Credit to Cammy for taking the gloves off and doing a stint in defence for the last 25mins with a memorable slide tackle in box to keep the clean sheet.
Great start to league with two tough away games and two wins.
MOTM - a few shout outs today. Fantastic to have Evan back starting today after a frustrating run with a niggling injury. Logan with an energetic display at right back. Max continuing his impressive early season form with a terrific midfield display - but today's award goes to Dan. 3 excellent goals and strong all round CF play.
