Cracking show from the lads today in the last 64 of the Scottish Cup as we welcomed Ayr Boswell to Forthbank.

Ayr came into the game on a good run of wins and in the top 3 of Ayrshire league so we knew we'd have to be on it. Luckily the lads were with a terrific display. First half was constant pressure from us - Emmanuel and Dan in particular were electric up front. Really smart, all-round centre forward play from Dan and Eman was on fire with his direct running. Could've been 4 or 5 ahead at HT - however had to make do with 2-0 from a Dan penalty and Eman volley.

Into 2nd half and the performance continued with the Ayr keeper making some excellent saves to keep his side in it. Dan got the 3rd from another penalty, before Eman then completed his double - a great ball from Max in behind released Haris who sent in a wonderful cross for him to sweep home. Adam added a deserved 5th with 10mins left.

MOTM - Everybody at least a 7 today with Ellis, Haris, Max, Eman and Dan all excelling and making it a very tricky MoTM decision. In the end we had to narrow it down on a majority vote and have given a joint award to Max and Eman.

Max was the conduit all day in midfield - receiving the ball well and starting attacks all day with some wonderful passing, and Eman creates chance after chance with his powerful running. On another day could've had 5 or 6 goals himself.

Shout-out to Ellis who stepped forward superbly with ball all day, Haris who was great at both RB and RW, and Dan with his most mature CF display of season - linking up play with to his team mates.
