SSAFC Head Out Of South East Cup At Semi Final Stage

Despite goals from Jonni Wedge & Jamie Woolf, the SSAFC suffered a 4-2 defeat against a very good Millwall side at Fisher FC.

The game started positively when Wedge was put through on goal but couldn't get passed the keeper. Wedge tho got his goal when quick thinking from Lawson hitting a long ball for Wedge to head over the keeper and into the net.

Millwall then looked to dominated and moved the ball about quickly and got back into it when their midfielder took on 3 players and found enough space to smash home.

Millwall then got ahead when good play gave their striker the chance and he smashed home making it 2-1.

Swales then had a good effort go wide but the SSAFC were 3-1 down just before half time as the ball wasn't cleared and Millwall got the ball in behind and their striker slotted home.

The SSAFC started brightly in the second half and Wedge had an effort go wide, Devall then had a strike go wide. Millwall had a few chances but was wasteful. The SSAFC could at least get the goal of the game when good build up play from the back found Woolf who was one on one who slotted it home to give the SSAFC a glimmer of hope.

Millwall sealed the game in the last few minutes when a long ball over the top caught out the defence and their player finished well to make it 4-2. The final whistle went and the SSAFC battled hard but Millwall were worthy winners.
