Home league match
The SSAFC started off their South East cup campaign with a good 9-1 victory over Leyton Orient at Peartree Park.
The game started brightly with the SSAFC looking positive and creating some early chances with Teale having an effort saved and Dunn heading just wide from a cross. Teale then was put through one on one but found the keeper who made a crucial save.
The goal was due and it arrived when Teale sent Swales through who beat his man and slotted low into the corner to make it 1-0. It then became 2 when the SSAFC midfield won the ball back and the ball was rolled on to Teale who from 25 yards hit his effort into the top corner.
Orient then had an effort go just wide before Dunn had an effort go over and Swales was denied a goal from a goal line block from Teale who couldn't get out of the way! It became 3 on the stroke of half time when Woolf went on a lung bursting run from the halfway line beating two players before dragging his shot into the path of Dunn who smashed home from 2 yards out.
The SSAFC made a few changes at half time and it was one of those subs Ricky Dutton who made an instant impact 5 minutes into the second half when a perfectly weighted John Carroll cross found an unmarked Dutton who headed home making it 4-0.
Dutton again was involved with the 5th goal when a defensive lapse from the defenders and goalkeeper allowed Dutton to nip infront of the keeper who clipped him and a penalty was awarded. Teale scored but it had to be re-taken but Teale made no mistake chipping home before coming off.
The 6th goal came from an unlikely source when the ball fell on the right to Wishart and he crossed in a ball which ended up evading everyone and the keeper into the top corner to score.
Orient kept going and had an effort saved by Brown. The SSAFC were looking dangerous and Dunn hit the post with a looping effort. The 7th came from a corner which wasn't cleared properly and Carroll smashed home from 8 yards.
Dutton then got a second in what was a copy of his first effort with Carroll on the left floating a cross which Dutton peeled off his marker before heading home making it 8-0. Orient then got a goal back when the young lad in midfield beat two SSAFC defenders and slotted past Brown in goal to make it 8-1 and no clean sheet for the SSAFC.
Jeorge Wedge then finished the game with a touch of class when good play from Woolf won the ball back and Wedge with a neat bit of skill got past his man and from 25 yards unleashed a lovely strike to score and finish the game in style.
