Wedge & Swales At The Double As SSAFC Win.

The SSAFC sealed a good 4-0 win over at Ridlins playing fields against Hampton & Richmond in a game which was hard work but the SSAFC in the second half stepped it up.

The SSAFC started well with early pressure but chances were at a premium with Jeorge Wedge missing a good chance to square the ball for a tap in. Wedge then had a bullet header well tipped over by the Hampton keeper.

Hampton looked to press forward but Court in goal wasn't really tested as Hampton's efforts went straight at him in goal. The SSAFC took the lead just a few mins from the break when a loose ball was won by Wedge who's pass forward found Swales who strength got the ball away from the defender and he smashed home.

Swales then had an overhead kick go harmlessly wide before the half time interval.

The SSAFC started the second half strongly and doubled their lead and it was Swales who scored again when Jackson whipped in a lovely cross for Swales who got infront of the keeper to make it 2-0.

A third came shortly after when a weaving run from Teale got him to the byline and his low cross found Wedge who composed himself before slotting in.

The SSAFC were using the wind to their advantage but wasted some good chances before Wedge got his second of the game when a Teale free kick was once again parried to Wedge who smashed home.

Swales then blew a good chance for his hat-trick blasting wide and the returning Jonni Wedge had some efforts saved low. The SSAFC dealt with all that Hampton attacked before the final whistle went.
