Collins The Star As The SSAFC Win

<p>The SSAFC picked up a very good 6-1 win on what was a very muddy pitch winning against a tough Grimsby side.<p>The Game started with the SSAFC looking to dominate and it was Swales with the first effort which was blocked. Swales then had a header go narrowly wide before the first goal came. The SSAFC picked up the loose ball and Collins put Swales in with a lovely through ball before he cooly lobbed over the advancing keeper.<p>The second came in quick succession when Teale picked up the ball and Jeorge Wedge broke the offside trap to go one on one with the keeper and he kept his shot low and found the net. The SSAFC played some good football on what was a poor pitch but Grimsby were a threat but their efforts didn't test Brown in goal.&nbsp;<p>The third goal came when good play on the right released Scarrott who crossed into the far post found Jackson whos header looped over the keeper and into the far corner from an impossible angle!<p>The SSAFC looked to get more goals with Teale hitting the post and Swales somehow having the rebound saved on the line. Bell had a volley well saved but from the resulting corner, Collins whipped in a lovely cross which found Teale who rose highest and headed home.<p>The second half started slowly and Grimsby pulled a goal back from a corner which wasn't cleared and their centre mid smashed it home making it 4-1.<p>The SSAFC then got their fifth in comedy circumstances when a low Teale cross was sliced by the defender into his own net!<p>It was deja vu for the 6th goal as once again, a low Teale cross was sliced into the net by a Grimsby defender! How's your luck.<p>The game turned into a bit of a mudbath with both sides struggling to keep possession on a really cut up pitch. Etheridge had an effort deflected onto the bar and Wedge blazed over from close range but in the end the SSAFC done enough for the win.
