The SSAFC picked up a very good victory and a performance to match in what was a very muddy pitch in Kingston with a convincing 5-0 win against AFC Wimbledon supporters. With the SSAFC needing a win by 2 goals to have any chance to go through to the London Cup semi finals, it was the SSAFC who started brightly with McKechnie having a good effort go wide. Minnock then curled an effort which went wide and Deards hitting the bar. The Wombles had some good chances with Brown making a smart low save with his legs to keep out a low strike. The goal did come for the SSAFC when good play from Minnock & McKechnie in the box and McKechnie had an effort parried into the onrushing Wedge to have the simplist of tap in's to make it 1-0!

The SSAFC started picking up the tempo and it wasnt long till the second came when great pressure from Wedge got the defensive mistake and despite calls for a foul continued and drilled a low cross to Devall who was in but got clipped just as he was about to shoot, Penalty! Devall stepped up and sent the keeper the wrong way to make it 2-0. The SSAFC looked for more goals and plenty of attacking threat but should have been punished when a mistake from Carroll sent their striker who rounded Brown in goal but put it wide! A big let off.

Wedge then had a great chance but just didnt get the contact he wanted to head home and a Rowe free kick was pushed wide, The SSAFC seemed comfortable going into the break but stepped it up in the second half!

The SSAFC started strongly with good early pressure up top with Devall & McKechnie working hard! The backline of Sapsed & Rowe was strong until Rowe's early exit due to an knee injury. McKechnie filled in and done a good job with Sapsed! The SSAFC got their third and it was that man Wedge again when a cross in was low and Wedge forced the ball into the net to make it 3-0! It wasnt long till it was 4 when a long clearance from the returning Dutton found Devall who forced the defensive mistake and his low poked finish founded the side of the net to give the SSAFC breathing space.

The 5th came when good play from Devall on the right, worked hard and won the ball back before squaring it to an onrushing Minnock who finished cooly and calm to make it 5-0. Devall could have claimed his hat trick but somehow missed his header but it seemed the SSAFC done the job very well and finished 5-0!
