Home league match

<p>Lovely day and short sleeves for the occasion. Salford only able to muster 9 men, and you can only beat whats put in front of you. In fact the first half we made very heavy weather of. Too relaxed and poor passing and movement all over the pitch. None of the effort of the week before. The oppositions number 5 was quick and had PK in trouble all match. Three first half goals a 'header' which the keeper spilled, a great cross from Ant to give Jonesy a back post header and a good long range Woosey strike. PK did himself to allow the opposition a glimmer of hope. Second half better but the first ten minutes we contrived to give the opposition two good goal scoring chances, and Rigsby had to make two smart saves. Thereafter we woke up a bit, and whilst still vulnerable to a good pass to the number 5, saw out a comfy win, adding four more as the other team tired in the sun. Wild got two, Macca a great header and Woosey completed his hat-trick, with Ant Gray starting to distribute the ball better. Phil and Macca in the middle as industrious as ever. Respect to the opposition who can clearly play a bit, and never gave up. The return leg at their pitch against 11 men, will not be easy based on what we saw today.
