Roberts Salvages Last Minute Draw

<p style="margin: 0cm 0cm 8pt;">STC turned up in numbers with a 14 getting kitted up. Jordan between the sticks, Deano at right back, Mike left with Baldy and Slim at the back. The Sheggs out wide with Gok and Captain Scott, leaving Golden Boot and Roberts up top. Axy, Rob and Omelette on the bench.

<p style="margin: 0cm 0cm 8pt;">To be honest the game was scrappy, with Toby keeping position and looking dangerous and STC not tracking their men, much to the disgust of Slim who would not stop shouting &lsquo;orange fucking boots&rsquo;&hellip;&hellip; However, the best chances fell to STC who looked dangerous on the counter attack. There was some half chances for Crabby and one when set to head in from 2 yards, somehow the centre half stretched his leg in an unimaginable angle to put it for a corner. Oh and it would not be a Sunday with Baldy getting a clump and then the hump of some kind. This weeks instalment was an elbow in the ear&hellip;

<p style="margin: 0cm 0cm 8pt;">The second half did not get much better if truth be told, but STC were marginally on top. Oh and Slim managed to injure himself kicking the floor rather than the ball, Dik. However, it was Toby who took the lead with 5 minutes left. A direct free kick was taken whilst Jordan was still lining up his wall and that was 1-0.

<p style="margin: 0cm 0cm 8pt;">With STC remonstrating and with time running Roberts subbed himself back on and following a disgusting tackle on Deano who luckily was not hurt, ST found themselves with a corner with a minute to play.

<p style="margin: 0cm 0cm 8pt;">STC piled everyone forward, a great corner was slung in and amid throng of bodies up popped a pair of tits, sorry bald heads. First Baldy 1 (Steve) won the front post battle and got the important flick on sending the ball goal bound, then up pops Baldy 2 (Lee) to nod home. 1-1 and sparks Roberts shirt removal and run to Jeff on the line, just for good measure.

<p style="margin: 0cm 0cm 8pt;">So another draw and probably a fair result.

<p style="margin: 0cm 0cm 8pt;">Man of the match this week was Slim, in his final game for STC.

<p style="margin: 0cm 0cm 8pt;">Being the last game of the season, it was also presentation time. In a heart warming speech, read off the back of a betting slip, Roberts delivered for a change. Well done Lee

<p style="margin: 0cm 0cm 8pt;">So awards time. The golden Boot went to Crabby, whose return of 24 goals in 22 appearances, a goal ration of 1.1 goals a game speaks for itself.

<p style="margin: 0cm 0cm 8pt;">Clubman of the year went to Jordan, the colossus between the sticks, albeit with a red bib..

<p style="margin: 0cm 0cm 8pt;">So Managers player of the year runner up was Gok, for his tireless displays, oh and for WASHING THE KIT with the winner being Sheggs. Well played mate and as Steve put it &lsquo;That Fucking proves we are not racist&rsquo; :)
