Westside Edge Staines & Lammas In Thrilling Contest

Staines & Lammas FC faced off against Westside in a keenly contested league match at Addlestone Moor on 18 September 2024, kicking off at 7:45pm. Despite a valiant effort, Staines & Lammas fell short, losing the match 2-1.

Staines & Lammas deployed a classic 4-4-2 formation, which offered a solid defensive line alongside a balanced midfield. Richard Bond took his place in goal, shielded by a back four consisting of Daniel Boyden on the right, Ethan Leeks and Daniel Callan in central defence, with Telmo Lima anchoring the left. Oliver James Mayer and Josh Stewart occupied the right and left flanks respectively, providing width to the attack, while Luke Rippon and Craig Stephen-lett formed a central partnership, tasked with controlling the midfield and linking the defence to the forwards. Up front, Jake Swain and Rashane Wilson were charged with leading the attack, seeking to convert any opportunities created by their midfielders.

In the early exchanges of the match, Westside struck first, taking a lead in the 10th minute, which set the tone for a tough outing for Staines & Lammas. The home side responded by making a strategic change in the 28th minute, bringing on Bobby Cooper for Luke Rippon in an effort to strengthen their midfield presence.
