vs Bridge Bolton

Away cup match

St Kents first fixture since early March saw them travel up to Bolton to play a Quarter Final vs Bridge Bolton.

Kents made a good start to the game controlling the possession - However they couldn’t make their dominance count as a couple of early chances were spurned.

The deadlock was finally broken when captain Joe Wood’s dangerous long throw was flicked on into the feet of Connor Powers who turned and fired into the roof of the net.

Kents were now fully on top and didn’t have to wait long for their 2nd, Marcus Thomas Rouse put through on goal only for the Bolton Goalkeeper to bring him down, Penalty!! Ben Heron stepped up and scored to make it 2-0.

Paul Barnes added a 3rd just before half time after finding himself alone at the back post to sweep in Joe Wood’s cross.

HT 0-3

Bolton came out looking the more dangerous of the 2 sides after half time, Kents starting slowly and giving away possession is poor areas.

After a slow start Kents we’re back in the groove adding a 4th when debutant Jake Hartley raced through onto a through ball to slot home.

Another goal for Kents 5-0! Jake Hartley marauded into the box taking the ball wide of goal but still managed to dig out a pass to Marcus Thomas Rouse to tap home into an open goal from 6 yards out.

Paul Barnes finished off the scoring lashing one into the top corner despite the Bolton defenders desperate lunge.

A great display from the Green’s who will now go into the semi finals full of confidence.
