A Tale Of Two Halves As #SJFC Hit A Perfect Ten

It was definitely a tale of two halves. Whilst there were chances in the first half it was Tickton who took theirs as Sproatley looked low in confidence in front of goal. At half time it looked a difficult challenge at 2-0 down unless a spark could be found. Well scoring within 60 seconds of the restart certainly gave Sproatley an unbelievable spark with a near perfect 45 mins of delightful, creative, high tempo football. What was witnessed was quite remarkable. In no time at at all it was 2-2 with goals form Perkins and Taylor. Then the goals just kept flowing as Tickton fell apart. A hat trick from Perkins, braces from Ayatu, Herbison, and individual efforts from Taylor, Havler and Christian Hadgraft made the total a perfect 10. This should be a platform for setting a target on the three teams above us in the league. No superlatives are good enough to to describe the second half game play. Captain Herbison dominated the midfield in a performance befitting the likes of Gerrard and Keane of years gone by. Ayatu was to much to handle for the Tickton defence running them ragged throughout. Perkins delivered what he promised with his hat trick and double assist. These are games form which memories are made and this one will be talked about for many a year. A great performance from a great team and now they know it.
