Second Game on grass in a week and just as we recover from the bites of King George we arrive at Bransbury Park with Dave declaring he was about to shit himself and we should have a key. Decides to let H lead the line.
If that wasnt the strangest thing we also have the sweetest old lady running 25k before we had even got all of the team changed extracting water from any young man she could.
So first 30 minutes were uneventful apart from the standard abuse given to our lino (we had 3) maybe some of the team need to go to specsavers apparantly our forwards can see if it is offside from a pitch length away.
Onto the football and Southletico fresh from two games where we had scored 19 and conceded 2 really put our power scoring to use, whilst still we waiting for that elusive clean sheet. Sam in goal and backline still looking impressive. 3-1 at half time and only a scrappy goal conceded aside we look strong. Half time it was time to get Si to run the line. I didn't see anyone hurling abuse at the lino this half. Amazing what changing a 5ft nothing 10stone guy with a 7ft 500 pound giant can do eh?
Worldie from chad and a header that came from a free kick that shouldnt have been and 5-1 was the order of the day. The ref decided he wanted to change the course of this friendly so as Aaron was warming up to come on Dan accidently clipped a player who ran across him and out came the red card. Who knew that it wasnt a red (only everyone watching) . It didnt ruin the game though (well it ruined aarons) and Southletico were comfortable winners.
Onto next week and Saturn Royale in the league. Once again the league not the cup. And yes I am sure 100% I have the fixtures and everything.
