Harry Who? southletico Escape Without H

Back to Leigh Park and playing against former ref Alfie Norman's AFC Trades of Division 2. They thought they were in for an easy ride against Southletico. Things started well for the visitors going 1-0 up within 5 minutes. Southletico quickly settled and the forward line led by Grandad Dave made everyone forget about H. 3 assists from Alfie and 3 sublime finishes by Dave had us 3-1 up. Sam playing in goal today tried to claim an assist but it defo came of Alfies head. Trades in disarray went through on goal and rather than staying on his feet and playing the ball Alfie ran into the keeper just checked and Tom Daley is official handing in his medal and Alfie is now GB's gold medal holder for diving. The truth is 2 disallowed goals and numerous decisions given against us was well worth that moment. So much time spent complaining about the non penalty and not alot of concentration allowed Dave to steal his 4th 4-1 at half time and well deserved. Half time came and despite the rolling subs we still threw away the lead and ended up at 4-4. Trades celebrating like they won the league which they already did by the way at a canter. But they forgot one thing, Clayton didnt yet have an assist and boy did he wait until the last kick to put it onto loanee Matts head for Southletico to take it 5-4. Lets hope he dont do this against us next week. Of course as with all our leigh park games a little bit of handbags between some lad and Dave. No big dramas though. The big question is does Dave play up top next week, will Southletico ever stop trying to lose games in second half and will Daves trophy arrive in time for our next game.
