Soccer For All Suffer Heavy Defeat to Pioneers All Stars FC 1-4

In a friendly encounter held at the University of Ibadan on 28 February 2025, Soccer For All (SFA) faced a challenging match against Pioneers All Stars FC, ultimately succumbing to a 4-1 defeat. The match kicked off at 9:30 am, setting the stage for an intense battle on the pitch.

SFA lined up in a 4-1-2-3 formation, designed to provide a solid defensive base while allowing for attacking flair. Gbolahan Ajiboye took his position in goal, shielded by a back four comprising Paul Ola on the right, Abdul-samad Adewole on the left, with Daniel Adesina and Chukwuemeka Ekemezie forming the central defensive partnership. Abdulsomod Kolawole operated as the lone central midfielder, tasked with linking defence and attack. The attacking trio featured Sodeeq Akinola on the right, Richard Kehinde on the left, and Akorede Obatuyi leading the line as the striker, supported by Olawale Samuel on the right forward position and Akintomide Akinbola on the left forward.

As the second half commenced, SFA sought to regroup and find a way back into the match. However, Pioneers All Stars FC continued to dominate proceedings, adding a fourth goal in the 84th minute, further extending their lead to 4-0.

Despite the overwhelming scoreline, SFA managed to salvage a moment of pride in the dying minutes of the match. In the 95th minute, Abdul-samad Adewole converted a penalty, bringing the final score to 4-1. This late goal provided a glimmer of hope for SFA, but it was not enough to change the outcome of the match.
