Match Report - WATERFRONT FC - 15 Oct 2017

SMS was clearly not at the races in the 1st half of this fixture as Waterfront seemed to be on it from the first whistle closing down early and picking their passes out to their big fella up front, SMS did not seem to be able to cope with the Big fella who was winning header and flick on with out any type of pressure, Moore went close early doors with a speculative effort but that was about it for SMS as Waterfront pushed for the opener only to come up against a Martin who pulled off 3 or 4 great saves in the first half before Waterfront finally broke the deadlock with a nice finish. SMS to their credit did keep themselves in the game and after a great ball forward from Keen for Alex Day to run onto at pace and find a cool finish to ensure it was all level at the break. For the 2nd half and after a few stern words from the gaffa and a change in formation going 3 at the back SMS seemed to settle and start playing football with the attack seeming to come into the game with Moore and Kyle going close, Waterfront still hd their chances however SMS were not looking as paniky and with their counter attack seeming to be back on track it was ALEX DAY who again breaking forward getting onto a return ball just in the box who was brought down allowing WARREN SCHULZ the opportunity to step up and put the penalty away with a matter of minute to go.

It was a good game of football end to end with a cup spot into the next round up for grabs. SMS probably deserved the win on their 2nd half performance and Waterfront must be asking themselves where they left their striker because the had their chances to put this game to bed.
