In an exhilarating friendly encounter at Brinsley Recreation Ground on 23 March 2025, Sherwood Arrows FC faced off against ATFA Brinsley Ballers U8, ultimately succumbing to a 7-4 defeat. The match kicked off at 11:00 am, showcasing a thrilling display of youth football that kept spectators on the edge of their seats.

Sherwood Arrows adopted a 2-3-1 formation, with Oliver Sanderson in goal, flanked by central defenders Dylan Smith and Carter Wakefield. The final nail in the coffin came in the 48th minute, when the Ballers scored their seventh goal, sealing a 7-4 victory. Despite the loss, Sherwood Arrows FC displayed resilience and attacking flair, with standout performances from Wakefield and Smith-Hall, who were instrumental in their team's efforts.
