Warminster Ladies V Shaftesbury
Last night we played a friendly against the newly formed Warminster Ladies. It was a great opportunity to play away under floodlights against a team we knew nothing about!! We took a while to warm into the game and a fresh faced Warminster side came out ready and fighting, which lead to a couple quick goals for them. We started to settle into the game and quickly got 5 shots on goal, however, 2 came off the post and their keeper was reactive and saved the others. Eventually a goal came for us with a cracking free kick from Katie which was rebounded out for Ali to head into the back of the net.
HT 3-1
After having a few injuries at the end of the first half, we started the second half stronger. We showed some improved play in the second half, and held our own for the first 15/20mins of the half. Yet, a few mistakes led to Warminster scoring a few more times within the half, including a belter of a goal on the volley which NO-ONE was stopping!!

This was a brilliant learning curve for the team, all players taking away a lot on how they need to improve their personal game, as well as management having a focussed way forwards for training and future games????
