Team line up: Katie, Grace, Izzy, Jen, Kate, Agata, Emma, G, Lucy (C), Caitlin and Alisha. Subs: Shannon, and Sophie
This morning we traveled over to Poole for our first rec league game. In our smart new kit and after last weeks win we were all excited for the game ahead. With a couple new players on the team we started a little panicky but 10 mins in we began to settle. We had a strong hold over the possession, making good passes and generating runs down the pitch. ?? Grace ?? Shannon. We kicked off the goals with a cross from Agata out on the wing into Alisha who hit the bottom corner!! We continued fighting for the rest of the half having many chances, Caitlin, Alisha and G all were unlucky having a shot on goal and it being rebounded out by the keeper. ?? Shannon ?? Grace. We continued to play good football, moving the ball up the pitch, and pressing high with longfleet only having one shot on goal the entire half.

We kept it the same into the second half, now working uphill we knew we needed to keep the energy and watch the roll of the ball. Our shape and composure was strong and lead to us being awarded a free kick just outside of the box. Alisha stepped up to the plate and scored a cracking goal into the top corner! This boosted our energy once again and we had Caitlin winning arial balls against her opponent and G having another chance in the box. Unfortunately, out of nowhere, longfleet managed to get away a long shot within our half which chipped Katie in goal to hit the net. We reacted with more attacking play and Emma getting a shot away just outside the box just skimming the cross bar. With 10mins to go the ball was out on our goal line, and longfleet managed to whip the ball round and into the net, much to our surprise the goal stood. Last sub ?? Grace ?? Shannon.

Well done to Grace and Agata on their first games of the season!! With limited subs available, everyone worked hard for each other and their was some great passing play from all. Many chances unfortunate not to find the net but a well earned point to build on!
