Sandhurst Lose 3-1 To North Camp

With some key players missing this was going to be a struggle. That said, I thought we would have enough to compete. It is fair to say this was a different North Camp team to what we played against last season. For the second game in a row we started slow and they really bossed the game. We were poor in our passing and slow to close down. The result was that most of the game was played in our half. It was almost inevitable that we conceded on 25 minutes, and it was defensive errors again which undid us. The second half was much better, with us playing better football and when Nick was brought down, Steve scored a belter of a free kick to bring us level. For 20 minutes we were then the better team, with Christian having a goal ruled offside..looked dodgy. On 75 minutes and against the run of play we conceded a second. After that we pushed up, with Nick having a glorious chance to draw us level. Not to be and when they scored a third in the last minute it was no surprise. Jim made a couple of great saves and Gagz was deservedly my man of the match, sealing a top performance with a goal line clearance. So we have a break from the league as our next fixture is a Berks and Bucks Cup game and I know you boys love Cup games. Win that one and maybe we can kick start our season
