Sandhurst Win Thriller Against Darby Green On Penalties

Well this game must go down in history as the Hurst's finest moment. a cup semi final no less against strong premier lge opposition, this was always going to be tough. We always ask for the same thing before a game..passion, effort and commitment. But today you men delivered like on no other day. It was a tense start, but after 13 minutes our failure to clear from a corner cost us dear as we went behind. But we did not let our heads go down, and 5 minutes later a sweet ball from Mikey was drilled in low by James to bring us level. 15 minutes into the second half we went behind again to a penalty. But yet again, you kept the faith, kept driving and we got our just rewards when Omer was brought down in the penalty box. Steve stepped up and scored our equaliser. With 15 minutes to go, it was tense, but to be fair we had the upper hand. The game finished 2-2 and penalties beckoned. Darby Green went first and scored. Mikey scored for us so 1-1. Rybo saved their next, but we failed to score. Darby missed their third, but we failed to score. Rybo saved their 4th, and Dan scored for us making it 2-1. Darby stepped up for their 5th penalty, Rybo saved for the third time and pandemonium. Through to the final in an explosion of emotion. Happy days. Play like this every week men and I doubt you will lose another game this season. But for now, lets look forward to the final against Crabtree at 2pm on May 7th and whatever happens, just enjoy the final. Big respect and congratulations from me, Mick and Rich.
