Sandhurst Earn Good Win Over Ash Select In Plate Game

The first game of 2017 saw us up against Ash Select, a good side who beat us easily the last time we played. Despite the fact that they started with ten men, the first few minutes were worrying as they pressed hard. But we settled down and began to play some good football ourselves. The team spirit was top notch, and we got into the same groove as our last game against Rose and Thistle. However, despite our total domination, we let a couple of good chances go begging. On half an hour they went to full strength, but we actually got even better against 11. On 32 minutes Mikey fed Nick who slotted home our first. One up at half time. We started the second half just as well, and five minutes in, Gaggsy and Luke exchanged passes, Luke put a ball in to Chris, who took down, controlled and struck home for a two nil lead. Ash did threaten, but on 65 minutes Dan turned provider for Chris to net his second. This was a cracking good win against decent opposition. Ryan made a couple of superb saves, and Chris and Alex narrowly vied for motm. In all honesty, this was a cracking good team performance all round. Thats two belters on the bounce, so lets now aim for the next one. Well done lads
