<p>A game against the runaway league leaders, and with only one sub always promised to be a real challenge. To say that we dominated in the first half would be an understatement. Sam was threatening from the first minute, and a wicked cross was put in by a defender to give us a 1 nil lead. As a team, we were on our game, pressing well and defending like bosses. It was only due to poor finishing, with at least three excellent chances going begging that restricted us to one. The second half started well, with the effort continuing. However, the game turned in the 55th minute. A free kick to them from a long way out seemed to pose no danger, but the ball stayed high and went into the top corner. From that point our heads went down, and they scored two more inside seven minutes. A further brace in the final five gave the 5-1 scoreline, but in truth the game was closer than it seems. Their manager said that in the first half we were the best team that they had played all season, and that if we didnt let our heads go down, who knows. Its about time you believed in your abilities as a team, because come the day that you do, we are going to be hard to beat. The only other negative is our fitness. In the final twenty minutes, they were still at it, where we looked tired and were making mistakes. THen again they train twice a week. Just saying
