vs White Hart

Away cup match

Roundbush made hard work of a determined White Hart. For the first 15 mins it was near domination from Roundbush, but tt was White Hart who should have taken the lead when their forward was clean through on goal only to see his effort go wide. Roundbush did then deservedly take the lead through David Flannery after the goalkeepers attempted clearance fell straight to his feet, bounced up and David headed over the stranded keeper. For the rest of the half it could have gone either way with Anthony Smee blazing over from close range, Matt McManus having his headed effort saved by the keeper, and a dubious offside decision against Tom Allan. White Hart themselves had 3 efforts on goal, 2 of which lobbed Graham in goal only to sail wide of the post. 1-0 Half Time

The second half started well for White Hart, but found themselves 2-0 down when a corner on the Roundbush right wasn't dealt with and Russ Lavalette headed into the net from close range. This then lead to White Hart throwing everyone in midfield to try and counter the 5 Roundbush had in the middle. Russ at the back, along with Joe and James had a very good game, giving very little to the opposition in the box and White Hart were left with chances from free kicks or long range, none of which threatened the Roundbush goal. Roundbush wrapped up the win right at the death through a David Flannerys effort from the edge of the box, althought they could have done that much sooner had David Flannery not missed 2 headers and Anthony Smee not shined his effort back to the keeper. In truth 3-0 was a flattering result for White Hart, Roundbush could have had 8 or 9.
