The Buck took on unbeaten The Brickmakers this morning and ended in up with disappointing defeat although there were many positives to take from the game. Roebuck were the dominant team throughout and were undone only by The Brickmakers clinical finishing.
The Buck made a good start to the game but fell a goal behind on 10 minutes when Brick broke away to score the opening goal.
On 37 minutes centre back Cameron Cramer had to come off due to injury and Brick to advantage of the change in the Roebuck back line and scored their second a minute later.
In added on time in the first half Roebuck got the goal they deserved when Alistair Brown latched on to a Dan Lees pass in the box and found the back of the net.
Roebuck carried on controlling the game in the second half and drew level on 61 minutes with sub Jack Wentworth making it 2 goals in 2 weeks with a close range header from a flick on by Brown.
Roebuck continued to press hard with Brick always a threat on the break. With 3 minutes of the 90 left The Brickmakers nicked a winner after a goalmouth scrabble.
As the clock hit 90 the game turned into chaos with more the 10 minutes time added on due to injuries and stoppage. In added on time Brickmakers were reduced to 9 men with 2 sin bins for decent. Yellow cards were issued to another Brickmakers player and to Oliver Parkes, Jack Wentworth and Jamie Hyde. The Brickmakers manager was shown a red card for foul and abusive language towards the referee. The lads pushed for an equaliser right to the very end but couldnt get what would have been a well deserved point.
