It was a return to league action this morning for the Buck as they traveled to BWP to face Phoenix, the Buck still carrying a huge injury list, with both Captain Sam Robbins and Vice Captain Adam Warden injured also missing was Dave Green, Ben Pritchard, Anthony Cox, Ryan Jones, and goalkeeper Callum Hughes although he was named as an outfield substitute to go along with suspended Kieron Hughes also out.

Roebuck still showed there strength and depth as they outclassed Phoenix throughout the match. The Buck took the lead on 11 minutes as Aaron Craig converted a superb solo run to score from the unusual position of left wing back which Craig slotted into today as cover. The score became 2-0 on 28 minutes as Niki Faux was brought down in the box, Alex Harris converted the spot kick.

Phoenix didn’t create many chances throughout the match and on 72 minutes Dan Landers persistence in running and chasing down paid off as he beat the Phoenix keeper to a pass off the Phoenix back line to poke the ball home. Two minutes later Alex Harris found the net to make it 4-0 as he diverted Chris Hunts shot into the net. Late on Phoenix grabbed a consolation goal as sub Ross Tarrant broke through the Buck back line and lobbed Jamie Hyde in goal.

At full time referee Allen Stock voted Aaron Craig Man of the Match for his performance at left wing back. It was however a good all round team performance with Niki Faux giving another fantastic performance up top and central midfield pair Kevin Burns and Jack Green both looking solid with good outings.
