Last night Roebuck played their final home game of the campaign. The game was far from a classic on an awful pitch but the Buck ran out comfortable winners. Roebuck took the lead in the first minute of the game as Liam Willetts playing his first game since mid January headed the ball into the net from close range. Hayley did draw level on 13 minutes but it took the Buck just 3 minutes to regain the lead through Alex Harris. The score became 3-1 on 22 minutes as Josh Hyde supplied the through ball for Chris Hunt to run onto and score. Roebuck dominated the half but it was Hayley who scored next on 34 minutes from a free kick which was passed into the net. Roebuck kicked on from this and found the net twice more before half time, Harris got his second of the match a 38 minutes and the goal of the game came a minute later as Sam Robbins finished a nice passing move on the volley to leave the score at 5-2.

The pressure for Hayley did not let up in the second half and Willetts bagged his second of the game on 50 minutes. On 65 minutes Hayley pulled another goal back again from a free kick which this time deflected in. With the game all but won the pace of the game slowed, Alex Harris completed his hat trick on 73 minutes, the midfielder has been in good form recently and that was his 8th goal in his last 5 games. As the game came to a close Keeper Jamie Hyde was given a run up top as Jack Green put the gloves on and club veteran Glenn (Frac) Firstbrook was introduced into the action. Roebuck completed the scoring on 90 minutes as sub Firstbrook squared the ball in the box for Robbins to finish.

Referee James Alliband voted Kieron Hughes as Man of the Match for his performance.
