Well the run came to an end but The Revs battled all game to try get something out of it. At least The Revs were hard to beat!
The goal for the opposition came early on, within the first 5 minutes, but the rest of the game was all about who would blink first to be honest. Phil P ran himself ragged to stop any further damage been made, but The Revs could not make a breakthrough at the other end.
To be fair there isn’t much to write about as the game was very much attack and defend. The opposition having potential ringers in their side who were quick and good with the ball at their feet. They just didn’t stop!
The Revs had one or two chances throughout, but the big chance came at the end with Allen through on goal late on but the keeper thwarted what would have been the smash and grab equaliser.
The Revs could have nicked something for sure, they defended very well and the opposition, although having the lion’s share of possession, resorted to long range efforts a lot of the time, but a lack of quality in the final third when needed scuppered any chances of a share of the spoils.
The Revs will play worse than this and still win, so there is nothing to be too disheartened about.
We go again! RTID
