So The Revs faced new opposition in Sargodian FC and had also lived lavishly in Cardiff at the weekend. So the omens weren't great. On the plus side there was a full compliment of 8, which included the first appearance of Jamie Allen this season too!
Anyway The Revs needn't have worried as from the off they ran riot, totally dominating the opposition.
The partnership of the two Dave's was beautifully on point. An early sighter for Hartrick was palmed away but it wasn't long before he was on the score sheet, assisted by Dave P.
Not long after the same combo put The Revs two up before Dave P went from provider to scorer for the next two with an assist from Jamie Allen also.
4 nil to the good at half time. Job done basically. Although complacency set in for the first 10 of the 2nd half but the defence sorted things out, even if it didn't look pretty.
Their decent lad had a cheeky long range effort go over the bar, a bit too coolly left by Steane.
He also had a good shoulder barge tussle with Lewis Evans - not often Lewis meets his match!
The Revs broke the resolve of the opposition late on when James Evans broke with the ball and slipped in Hartrick to complete his hatrick.
And like buses another soon followed with a brilliant ball from Beardall brought down by Hartrick to smash in his 4th! Maybe his lack of alcohol helped eh?
It was the perfect tonic after a hectic weekend and actually it could easily have been 10-0.
Dave P is continuing his fine form and Hartrick looks hungry again. So it was only right these two shared the man of the match gong.
A break again for bank holiday and then The Revs face 2nd in the league... a tough test but recent form is great!
