We Were Less Shit!

Last week we were shit, this week we lost by a bigger margin but weren't shit. Football, bloody hell.

We had three missing this week - Olly (work), Lew (on a date, refused to say who with) and Ty (on a date, refused to say who with) - but we had a decent line up against a very strong team. Confidence was low but we decided to stay defensive and look to break, and it sort of worked.

Returning in defence was Phil Pinkstone, a man described by at least one pundit as "more one-footed than Heather Mills". Along with Phil there was Matty in goal, Jamie, James, Gaz, Dave P and Dave H. So onto the first half.

There's no point hiding the fact we did lose to a far better team, but we did manage to get to halftime at 0-0. There was some great defending, and not silly last ditch stuff either, proper tracking and getting in shape as they attacked. When they did get through Matt was in form and stopped everything. We played really well in truth, came close to nicking one up top twice too with Dave H's flick from a corner and James' chance from a really good move. In one half we managed to be better than the entirety of last week's game. That'll do Revs, that'll do.

The second half was more of the same but they managed to nick a goal and we had to push on. Consequently we lost two more goals in the last couple of minutes that didn't really matter. We defended really well, had another couple of chances second half and they came off knowing they had been in a game.

So shit last week, good this, better things to come? Who knows with this team, who knows...
