Home league match

The final game of the season came and a chance to add 3 more points to a league total that already had eclipsed last seasons. Alas it wasn't to be as Real Ale took the win to exact revenge on their earlier 2-1 loss to The Revs.
In all honesty The Revs were better than the performance suggested and at times the lads were running around like headless chickens.
It was down to Tyman to take control on the pitch, barking out orders, sometimes to the annoyance of team mates. However his contribution was generally appreciated by his colleagues.
The big talking point of the game came at the end of the first half when a counter attack led Myers to charging off his line and in an attempt to get the ball took the attacker out instead.
This led to a goal from the penalty spot but this tackle was much tamer than the previous weeks assault on Hartrick that has left him out of action for several weeks.
The lads didn't let their heads drop but there was certainly an element of frustration and double standards in the air.
The second half was one of few opportunities as The Revs could not carve out a decent chance. Steane could have had a moment of magic but saw his bicycle kick go wide.
As time ebbed away The Revs got more and more frantic looking for the equaliser which allowed the opposition to break away once again on the counter and put the game to bed making it 2-0.
Was a shame the lads felt they had let themselves down on the pitch on the night but you cannot argue that this has been a great season of improvement.
The Revs will be back for a 3rd crack at 6aside and hoping to push progression on further once again.
Plenty of positives to be had over a great season of hardwork.
RTID
