Splitting the league was meant to mean a more competitive edge no?

The rot has definitely set in for the old boys of The Revs. They cannot buy a point at the moment.

The opposition played the game well, with little tugs on the arms, proper old manning the old men of The Revs. Fair play to them, they played to their strengths, stuck to their game plan and ultimately they got the rewards.

It started bright for The Revs with Evans Snr slipping in Tyman who was crowded out as he was about to shoot and Evans Snr himself managing a shot between the big lads legs that the keeper parried away. The game then opened up a bit as the opposition found their feet and it became a little end to end.

They took the lead not long before half time, with most of The Revs shouting for a handball, but the opposition went through and scuffed a shot that sneaked into the inside post.

The Revs went looking for that equaliser, but the passing in the second half was not on point like in the first. Lots of panic passes, lack of control and lack of awareness costing them.

Pinkstone Jnr was crunched in the middle after looping a header over to the forward player, but we were given nothing as the attack broke down thinking Dave was actually dead!

Just so you are aware, he wasn't dead and is still very much alive.

Eventually the second goal came from a breakaway and a third late on for them. 3-0 didn't feel deserved based on the general game play, but the opposition took their chances.

That was the difference. The Revs once again not possessing a pair of shooting boots between them. Plenty of opportunities, but either crowded out, blocked or way off target. Their keeper, at times, looked very dodgy but The Revs just did not test him enough.

It wasn't until very late in the game when Tyman stole the ball and rampaged forward supported by the Evans brothers did The Revs managed a solid shot on target... and it went in!

Less than a minute to go and The Revs almost had a second too when a flick on by Evans Snr to Evans Jnr who then looped the ball over the last man and shot on the volley only to see it whistle just wide - it would have been some goal too.

And so the second defeat of the season and things are really not looking good.

Where do The Revs go from here?
