The team were in high spirits and the omens were good but the performance was disastrous. The team that The Revs should have faced seem to have dropped out and replaced by old foes Massive Boosters, winners of the old 5aside league on several occasions.

The Revs actually started the brighter, pushing forward and creating space, but sure enough were soon hit on the counter attack to go one nil down with the oppositions first attack. However, The Revs hit back straight away when Evans robbed one of the opposition and put Hartrick in who cooly placed the ball past a dispairing keeper - his rich vein of form continues.

However that was as good as it got. The Revs looked unorganised, out of ideas, lacked any intelligent passing and were constantly chasing shadows. All the basics that The Revs usually do right was just not evident in this performance and confidence in front of goal is at an all time low with Hartrick blazing over, Evans squandering numerous chances, Steane passing instead of shooting and Tyman also blazing wide.

If we have to be positive, then The Revs did get into many scoring positions, more so than usual, but was that because the opposition were cruising? We shall never know.

Maybe a few more goals in the second half may have made it interesting but The Revs did not deserve to get anything out of this game. The most disappointing aspect was the attitude from some of the team. The Revs usually stick together instead of falling out, but this game seemed to tip people over the edge.

It says a lot when even after conceding 9 goals, Myers was voted Man of the Match. He kept the score line lower than the cricket score it could have been.
