At some point over the last few months one or all of The Revs members walked under a ladder, had a black cat cross their path, smashed a mirror or stepped on a crack...
Either that or we find the cursed child among us... It has to be the only explanation for what is happening.
Look, we are not world beaters, most of us are in our late 30s and 8.50pm kick offs are now considered ovaltine time... but we are not this bad. We are not, as the stats suggest, the whipping boys.
The Revs dominated this game for large periods and for once the opposition had no flashy, super fast forward who could do the damage. This time the damage was done to ourselves.
And I do not just mean their goal... Yes Ollie knows he should not have passed to a player who had two opposition players on him, yes it should have gone wide to Jamie Allen, but the fact is the guys outfield also could not get that ball in the net. And it wasn't for want of trying.
Both Dave P and James E had shots saved by the keeper who had spilled the ball and then lay on the ground expecting to see the net bulge... instead it hit him in the back twice!
Hartrick also had two brilliant shots crash off the post - the last one in the final seconds where the keeper somehow managed to get fingertips to the shot.
Other's had shots on target that the keeper managed to slap away or - in total surprise - caught the ball cleanly.
The opposition kept plugging away. But The Revs had the lion's share of possession and of chances.
Hell, star man Lewis Evans was running rings round the opposition down the flanks, little flicks and step overs and a change of pace - the opposition could not handle it. And when they did break Phil P and Jamie A marshaled them expertly ensuring the goal was never really in danger. Although tackle of the match has to go to Steane as the opposition lined up a shot...
So the question is how did we lose this one? HOW?
Can the person who pissed off a gypsy please step forward and go apologise for god sake!
