With injury and illness plaguing The Revs this was a backs against the wall defensive masterclass!
Steane in goal earned a clean sheet to his name but the rest of the team bandied together and tackled, blocked and hounded like a pack of hungry wolves.
The Revs are often critical of themselves for not taking their chances when it counts, so when Dave P snapped up the chance to put the team in the lead there was no looking back.
This season has been all about the defence and The Revs have been very hard to break down this season. Showing a real steeley determination. Tonight typified the season the team has had.
This means the lads have ended their 4th 6aside season with the best stats yet. Their biggest points haul, a handsome 4th placed finish and the best defence in the league!
Let's hope the curse of the odd numbered season's can be broken next season. Because The Revs have proved they can compete with anyone in this division!
