They are like buses these 3 points ain't they?!? But you spend so long playing your ass off for reward only to almost blow it!

As the old football cliche goes, it really was a game of two halves last night. So let's not concentrate on the second half, we'll gloss over it.

Now the first half, now the first half was a performance. Following on from last week The Revs were purring once again. Evans Snr was controlling things from the back, starting most meaningful attacks, with big little brother adding the protection in midfield. But the team in the first half just clicked with the evergreen Hartrick leading the line with authority, bullying the young defenders

The first bit of action though, was Steane's handball and then outrageous hoofing of the ball to the other side of the county!

With that madness out of the way it wasn't long before The Revs impressive play was rewarded. Evans Snr looking up and playing Hartrick in for a turn and shot and 1-0! Joyous simple football.

Moments later Evans Snr's ball into Steane allowed him to audaciously flick it into Beardall's path to finish bottom corner.

Myers then wanted a piece of the action and lofted a long ball into Hartrick whose control was sublime enabling him to bag his second.

However it was the 4th that was the cream of the crop. Myers out wide to Pinkstone Snr, who pinged a ball cross field to Pinkstone Jnr who flicked his header into Beardall who drew his man and crossed into Hartrick for a first time strike for the hatrick.

What. A. Goal.

Half time and 4-0 to the good.

And that's where we'll end it I reckon. Why give airtime to mistakes, bad decisions and angry words.

The Revs won 4-3. End of. But what a first half!
