In terms of questions that have gripped the nation there are perhaps only two that have caused the weight of suspense we have all felt recently -

1. Will Kerry Katona ever find true love?

2. Will Phil ever score his 50th goal?

Well, if we can only have a definite answer for one I guess it's this: Kerry will find love but she needs to start loving herself first. She's an attractive, strong, independent woman and someone will love her for who she really is one day.

Anyway, onto last night's game and the Revs looked strong. With only Olly (work) and Jamie A (lazy) missing that left a good match day squad and a strong bench. A performance had been due, was tonight going to be the night?

Don't know why I'm building that up, we all know the answer - yes.

1-0 up thanks to an early goal from one of our defenders, we were on the front foot from the off. A second followed as James swept one in and for the first time in months the Revs were comfortable. We didn't start dropping deep, we didn't go into our shells, we pushed on and Ty's crunching tackle put me through for a third. Dreamland, no way we could get another before halftime surely? We bloody did you bastards, the Ty/me combo reversed as I fed him for number four.

4-0 up at halftime and buzzing, there was a slight fear we might get complacent. Well they played a lot more football second half but we were fine, I added a fifth and the chances to add more came and went. On another night and if we'd won last week we'd have had 7 or 8, but as it was we settled for 5 and three much needed points.

Unfortunately we couldn't keep a clean sheet because we are The Revolutions and that's just not what we do, their goal coming late in the game after a couple of errors but it didn't matter, a victory and performance that had been coming for a while. Can't wait for next week.

The End.

Just joking Phil before you have a heart attack, not only did you get your 50th goal it was also an excellent side footed finish, congratulations and we're all going out when you get you're 100th in 2024.
