Men Against Boys!

<p>And it was the boys that came out on top! The old men of The Revs against a group of 16-18 year olds was always going to be messy. They had youth, skill and most importantly speed on their side. The old men of The Revs could not handle it, especially in the first half.<p>Lets be blunt then, The Revs always do this against foes they know nothing about. So the first half was spent respecting the opposition and seeing what they could do. And that's where the damage was done! It was embarrassing at times, the passing was awful and they ran rings round everyone.&nbsp;<p>3 nil down at half time, tensions spilling over, arguments ensued, people throwing up and it was clear The Revs had not played very well at all.<p>The second half they made more of a fist of it, but no real clear cut chances were ever carved out. The Revs tried to bully the opposition and if this attitude had been taken from the start maybe this game would have been much closer.<p>A game of few highlights then apart from Myers keeping the score line down and P. Pinkstone's brilliant swoosh from a Beardall cut back.&nbsp;<p>The best thing to do about this game is totally forget about it and move on quick!<p>The Revs play their best football when against similar teams. The team enjoys a battle. When up against actual footballers, with quick feet and vision, they tend to stand still.<p>As a final note, as the teams prepared to kick off to start the match, the ref turned to a few of The Revs players and said 'These are only young so don't go bashing them about please...'<p>If only the team got chance to get near them to do that!!!
