When you face a team called Ultra's you envisage a bunch of Italian mobsters, with scarves pulled up over their faces and a flick blade tucked in their sock...
What we got was a bunch of kids who were been chaperoned by their mum! And boy could they moan...
So what was good? Well Myers was in superb form in between the sticks and pulled off some wonder saves to ensure The Revs were always in with a shout...
Hartrick was back and back with a goal (and an assist)...
Some of the passing was sublime and the interplay was joyful... Evan J. Evans played a very Erikssen-esque ball in behind the defence.
Communication and work ethic all seemed in check and no one let their heads drop even at 2 nil down.
Dave P headed the ball... TWICE... and it went to a Revs player... TWICE!
AND we scored when a man light!
What was bad then?
Well at times the defending the wasn't great and the defence was overrun by these little pip squeaks at times...
J. Evans gifted the first goal with a woeful pass. Face palm moment!
Plenty getting caught on the ball, slow to react at times and too many missed efforts upfront, not testing the keeper enough.
Well if that was the bad, what on earth was the ugly??
Well apart from their Ribery lookalike you mean? Well there was L. Evans then... "I never get sinbinned..." Yes you do... and to add insult to injury he then followed that up with a red card!
So this was the game that brought the curtain down on The Revs time at Beckfoot... No, we haven't been kicked out, the entire league has!
So on wards to Saltaire we go...
