Reigate Put Up At Fight But Out Of The Cup At The 3rd Round

<p>We knew we were going to be in for a tough game today against a team unbeaten this season and we were but we certainly didn't go down without a fight. It could have looked ominous early on when their striker was able to nip in and score from close range from a corner after 5 minutes and once again conceding an early goal cost us. Despite that we worked our way back into the game and knew we were in with a chance of getting something from the game when Brock played in Rob Shirley who cut through 3 players and struck one underneath the keeper in fine style. We worked hard once again but they were good at moving the ball quickly and the striker was able to take a clear pot shot at goal which unfortunately wrong footed Chris in goal and it was 2-1. We fought hard into half time and in the 2nd half putting together a few chances with Mikey unable to finish from a couple of crosses which were probably our best chances but they were able to strike again 65 mins in when Chris unfortunately let the ball ricochet off a part of the body... not sure which and the ball trickled over the line. They certainly didn't deserve it but they managed to survive a late onslaught and win the game but we should keep our heads up high after probably deserving to win that game having lots of possession but not being able to create the chances we would have liked or take the ones we did get cost us again.
